moroccan manner beanie
Nowadays i'm making moroccan manner beanies for the upcoming Sunday Market De Fabriek Op Zondag on Sunday the 31st of May at Piet Hein Eek in Eindhoven.
Working with Moroccan wool & hook is a wonderful way to swoon over the cool crochet adventures. It's an entirely different way of crochet, we have learned from Aisha on the Place des Epices.
I will bring the beanies to Eindhoven next month and hope to meet you over there!

publication home & garden
Recently I was contacted by creative editor Mirjam Roskamp for a portrait in the renewed Home & Garden magazine.
Chief editor Makkie Mulder has made a beautiful fresh magazine with her team. As she puts it; 'a fresh Home & Garden. Thicker, different paper, richer filled. A treat for all your senses.'
The portrait is about my work as a 'flower girl' at Villa Augustus and together with Saskia de Valk (Vlinder & Vogel) and Anton van Duijn (Bloomon), we were interviewed by Liddie Austin and photographed by Tjitske van Leeuwen.
The renewed Home & Garden is a verdurous magazine packed with lots of 'green' inspiration. Love it!

princes bouquet by pippa
Pippa made one of the princes bouquets for Kingsday yesterday evening.
She is following an internship for her study 'flower & design' at the local flowershop Erica.
Pippa's boss Armand asked all employees to make a bouquet and made Máxima's bouquet himself. What a super nice job!
Today we are watching the live Kingsday TV report in our hometown Dordrecht.
King Willem Alexander van Oranje Nassau is celebrating his 48th birthday with his family in Dordrecht today.
This morning when the Royal Family arrived by boat some children offered the bouquet to the Princesses and the 3 daughter of Willem Alexander and Maxima, were given bracelets with flowers.
Princes Annette is walking around with Pippa's bouquet today.
I'm super proud of my flowergirl Pippa. XX
Happy Kingsday!

atlas adventure
Last Sunday we travelled to the High Atlas mountains for the most adventures day of the cool crochet workshop.
It has been a unforgettable journey.
After a road trip of less than two hours (you can see everything!) you are in a completely different Morocco.
Settled down on a terrace with coffee, tea & breathtaking views, we had a relaxed mittens making morning. Nine-year-old Stella joined the crochteers and crocheted for the first time. In the afternoon we had lunch and everyone was having a good time, swimming, strolling through the vegetable garden or whatever.
During sunset we returned to Marrakech and made a stop at the Ourika river. Magnificent!

spicy
Another day in the souk with spicy moroccan crochet lessons by lovely Aisha on Place des Epices.
After everyone had mastered the technique, we moved to Terrasse des Epices for a spicy and tasty lunch.
With some Moroccan tea in the shade on the lazy benches there was time for slow siesta crochet...
