magic of the red city
Marrakech, the Red City. A city open to modern life and the future, however also managed to keep with its history, its culture and its colors.
The red color is a dominating color as most buildings have the same terracota color. The color of the city doesn’t come from a profound philosophy, but rather from red earth, the simplest of materials in architecture.
Marrakech is not only red, but moreover also very green. The green is everywhere as the old gardends are protected and new gardens are planted everywhere.
Marrakech is the ideal destination to escape from the everyday.
Perfect for adventure seekers to get lost into the red, pink and rosy hues in the Medina.
A city of wonders. The Magic of Marrakech is always here.

books, blankets & boucherouites
The vintage locker, we bought in 2012, has already been a storage place for many stuff.
Since my entire wool stock has moved to my studio, nowadays there are mainly interior and art books in the middle, paperwork on the right and lots of stuff on the left. The middle one is neat, the others are a mess 🙈
The left compartment needs to be cleaned up and sorted out. I don't feel like it nonetheless, because I know I'm not good at cleaning up long-kept personal items at all. First I take everything out, then the entire room is a mess and in the end 90% of the stuff, will go back inside.
I have to wait until I am in a mood. I'm waiting for spring...
For now I wish you'll a nice weekend!

at work @villa_augustus
Snapped during the making of an instagram post for the official Villa Augustus account.
Most of you followers might know, I've been working at Villa Augustus since the opening in June 2007 and I've made many, many pictures on my workplace in all those years.
You could find them on my blogposts about Villa Augustus and later on my own @woodwoolstool instamgram account.
I have been taking so many photos at Villa Augustus since the beginning, especially during my weekly flower days, but also pictures of the gardens, the interior, restaurant, market and the hotel.
And after all those years, I still love my workplace, it's such a special and inspiring place.
Since April 2017, I am responsible for the official @villa_augustus instagram account, photography and management.
Photography in my workplace with unlimited possibilities to shoot and I can 'legally' post workspace pictures, every day...
And since I post a photo every day, you might find less 'at work' posts on my blog.

chevron blanket pattern
New in my Etsy shop: CHEVRON BLANKET PATTERN
The new chevron blanket is finally finished!
I started it last month and it was a super fun project to work on.
Making a blanket requires some experience, but it's not that difficult.
Well, writing the pattern was something else...
I'm not a big fan of that and it simply takes a lot of time and dedication.
But hey, I know from experience that crochet fans will appreciate the work.
So from now on you can download the newest WOODWOOLSTOOL BLANKET PATTERN from my Etsy shop.
With this extensive and easy to follow pattern of 6 pages and chart, you can make this cool blanket yourself. It's lovely as a through on the sofa, but also a cool baby blanket and everything in between.
The size of the blanket is 1.40 x 1.00 meter, however easy to adjust to a different size.
My brand new design is a perfect project for enthusiastic crocheters.
