knitting alert
Knitting alert!
The trend for autumn/winter are oversized waistcoats.
First I made a sand colored waistcoat for Pippa, the second one in dusty pink for myself and this week I knitted another one with tweedyarn.
I love this knitting project and naturally also the waistcoat itself. The striking shoulder detail is my favorite part!
The woolen waistcoat is a super stylish item for this season. You can simply mix it with anything.
Do you absolutely need this oversized waistcoat in your wardrobe?!
You can order the pattern directly from me by sending an email to info@woodwoolstool.com for orders within the Netherlands. Or you can download the knitting pattern in my ETSY SHOP.
The pattern is available in English & Dutch version, with easy to follow description and many photos. And I made a pattern update for the tweed yarn information.

marrakech - all in one day
Friday 11th of November.
On this trip to Morocco i was in Marrakech for only 1 day. So I decided to make the most of it and started the day with an early morning walk in the awakening medina.
Thereafter breakfast on the roof terrace of Chambres d'Amis.
In the afternoon a lunch date with my former colleague Naima, she's Moroccan and we worked together at Villa Augustus for 15 years. Never before we happen to be in Marrakech at the same time, but now we were! So we planned a super special rendez-vous in the medina. We toasted with a pomegranate cocktails in the souk and had a delicious lunch at La Famille. Sometimes everything comes together.
In the evening a farewell dinner at Le Foundouk in the souks with my dear friend & soulmate Ank. To end this wonderful week and our adventures together in style. We had a blast!
Saturday morning breakfast at sunrise and back home. Au revoir et à la prochaine!

dar zahia & arabic camels
Thursday 10th of November.
One more morning to fully enjoy our garden lodge.
Lunch on the rooftop at Dar Zahia in the medina of Taroudant. The garden of Dar Zahia, that we wanted to visit after lunch was unfortunately closed due to the persistent drought. Instead we decided to take a little siesta before starting the return journey to Marrakech.
When we were on our way to the highway through the High Atlas, we drove through a small village where at that very moment a gigantic herd of arabic camels crossed the road. Carrefour des dromadaires haha.
I had to film that, so crazy cool to experience... [press below image to play]
