loose ends of 2015
Ta-da! Here's the loose ends stool cover!
I've made a new stool cover with all wool leftovers from the past year.
Strands of wool that remain after a project, I never throw away, but tie them into a ball of wool.
After a while the leftovers just become a big ball of wool.
I like the 'folkloristic' look, which arises by the mix of different materials and colors.
I wish you a delightful and festive end of the year!

december de-decorate
Christmas is over, although this shiny still life looks merry & bright.
I've removed the Christmas decoration from our x-mas wall and folded back the stars.
How fun it is to decorate your home for Christmas, I always find the house so light and fresh, once everything goes back to the attic.
Bit early? Yeah maybe, but I've not had that 'Christmas feeling' this year (even though it has been a wonderful time)
Guess I'm not the only one?

merry & bright
Happy Holidays!
Looking for a new wooly winter project? This merry & bright blanket might be something for you.
You can find the pattern in my E T S Y shop and design your own version, using as much colors as you like.
The original wood & wool harlequin pattern I made, is based on a square blanket with only five different colors.
Obviously with the basic harlequin pattern, you can also make a multicolored version like the blanket above, I made from my wool leftovers.
Have a nice weekend!

x-mas wall
Who needs a tree?
This time we pinned the Christmas decorations on the white wooden wall in our living room.
Yesterday we unpacked all our x-mas stuff and every year it's the same [oh and ah] moment.
During the decades we've collected quite some vintage Christmas decorations and of course, we buy some new ones too every December.
These merry & bright ornaments made it to the x-mas wall. Love it!

striped sweater
Ahoi!
Today was the first day I was wearing my brandnew knitted striped sweater.
Last winter I've been living in my two knitted sweater dresses, so I thought I might be great to knit something new for my winter wardrobe.
If you would like to knit your own striped sweater, you can find the pattern in my E T S Y shop. The pattern is written in Dutch and English version.
You can also knit the sweater in red & white and play Where's Waldo?

about white trees and an angel
White wooden x-mas trees have always been the most popular.
During the last weeks I received a few requests about white trees.
This morning I've made a few more white trees...in the sun!
You can find them in my E T S Y shop.
The cutest little angel is made by my dearest friend Rosa. Isn't she dinky? Rosa makes the most beautiful dolls, called Stella By Rosa and you can find her shop H E R E.

my heart goes bamboom
Some weeks ago we spotted this vintage bamboo chair in a wonderful bric à brac boutique and my heart went bamboom!
We took it home and now it's standing in the livingroom, my heart goes bamboom bamboom.
The seat is a bit low (just how i like it) and is a perfect coffee/read/knit/crochet chair.
The portrait of our son Minne when he was only 3 years old, also makes my heart jump. It was made 20 years ago in France and I do remember the cute curly blond boy, like it was yesterday.

red wealth - soviet design
The exhibition Red Wealth - Soviet Design 1950-1980 at the Kunsthal, illustrates the history of Soviet design in a fascinating overview. It is so colorful, inspiring and surprising!
Highly recommended to visit in the coming months, certainly great fun for children too.
Today we initially went to Rotterdam to see the exhibition of Keith Haring, we both are fans of Keith Haring since the 1980s... (more on that later)
