crochet bikini top pattern
You can download the crochet BIKINI TOP PATTERN in my Etsy shop.
The wood & wool bikini top I posted recently was made with 3 colours and wooden rings. I received a lot of questions about the pattern. I've made it years ago without a pattern. I've worked out the step by step process with lots of detailed photos (18 pages) of this new crochet bikini top. The bikini top pattern is available in English and Dutch.
All you need is 50 grams of crochet cotton to make your summer bikini top! Choose your favorite colour and get started.
It's not difficult at all and it takes just one day to make it. This jeans blue bikini top I made for Pippa this week. She loves it!

I've worked out the step by step process with lots of detailed photos (18 pages) of this new crochet bikini top. Last week I've made this bikini top with organic hand dyed cotton from South Africa. Could not find the wooden rings anywhere, so I made this one without. In the pattern you can find how to make it with or without wooden rings.

no frame no fame
Tonight we went to Rotterdam to pick up our new (sun)glasses at Ace & Tate.
I like the dark green frame of my sunglasses and what about the name; Ivy Cactus?! (and Henk's glasses too, but wasn't allowed to take his picture).
It was a wonderful summer evening and we had an Italian dinner at Mangiare on the terrace.
Good start of the weekend.
Wishing you all a great time for the coming days :-)

first beach day of 2016
Yesterday we went for a long beach day to Zeeland.
It was the very first day on the beach this year. We stayed until sunset.
I'm wearing my knitted Bossa Nova sweater.
Finished this knitting project last week and the sweater was perfect for a summer evening on the beach. I love the color and soft cotton.

summer evenings
The sun shows up at the end of the afternoon for the last couple of days.
Most days start cloudy and don't feel like summerdays at all. So when the sun arrives at the end of the day, we setlle in the backyard and enjoy the sunshine until sunset.
Today I bought some new interior and garden magazines and love the small and simple summer houses in the newest Home & Garden issue.
We were talking about making a kind of tiny greenhouse in our backyard. It's a recurring theme, but the thing is, we don't know where to build it in our not too large backyard.

cornfields around the corner
Cornfields around the corner.
Friday evening we went for a drink at a rural café nearby. The late evening light was just so beautiful, we decided to drive across the polder and made some pictures of the golden cornfields.

the simple things
The simple things.
A single palm leaf in a bottle.
The shadow on the wall, as soon as the sun peeks inside.
Kitchen utensils on the kitchen counter.
Stunning light in the backyard.
Eye candy is everywhere...
